How I Handle Whatever Life Throws at Me

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “The struggle makes you stronger.” I choose to believe in and embrace this in my life.

Truth be told, sometimes I wish life would just be simple, care-free, and wrapped up neatly with a bow. But, I have learned that some of the biggest struggles in my life have given me the strength to conquer the next big thing or have compassion for someone else.

So, I have taught myself to shift my mindset around whatever challenge that I am facing. The challenge is there ‘for me’ to help me get better – it is not ‘happening to me.’ I think the same thing is true for training in the gym – it’s not about what obstacles you overcome in the gym – it’s about how overcoming those obstacles helps you become stronger in all other aspects of your life. I don’t train for what I can do in the gym – I train to have the energy and strength to handle whatever life throws my way.
